Finished my Christmas knitting yesterday morning, and Holly managed to finish the scarf she was knitting for Emily about an hour ago, and she only started it at about 5pm this evening - the joy of 20mm needles and big yarn, eh?
The dining room table has been cleared of beads and general crap (schoolbooks, assorted geometry sets and other rubbish) - lord no, this family never eats there, except on Christmas Day, hoovering round the bits you can see has been done, last minute cards have been delivered, John & James have sniggered their way through a repeat of Grumpy Old Men on TV, and now I just have a few presents to wrap and some stockings to fill.
Whilst waiting for the recpients of the stockings to go to bed (they insisted on staying up to watch Calendar Girls), I've been trying out the Rowan Tapestry I bought ages ago, with the aim of making a moebius scarf (possibly as a present, possibly for me) - have to report I'm not entirely impressed with it, it's nice and soft, but splits like hell! - thank God I only have 2 balls of the stuff ... roll on after-Christmas, when I can get on with the lovely cabled jacket from Interweave Knits!
Meanwhile, must get on with final wrappings / stocking stuffing ... Happy Christmas, everyone!
